Duane Gidney - Pastor

Barrington Duane Gidney Jr, originally from Wilmington Delaware, received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2000. After graduating, Duane worked for the New Orleans city government and Xavier University before finding a home with the inner-city ministry “Urban Impact”. In 2013, Duane graduated from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master in Divinity. Along with pastoring Duane is currently a chaplain for a local Hospice. Most importantly, in 2009 Duane married the woman of his dreams, Anthonika Miles, and together, they have two children, Cordelia. In all he does Duane looks to use his talents, resources, and opportunities to glorify God.


Daylon Taylor - Pastor

Born and raised in Southwest Louisiana, Daylon grew up with a passion to care for others. Upon graduating from high school, he came to New Orleans to pursue a career in the medical field and to help in the physical healing of the sick. God enabled him to complete his Doctorate of Medicine and to practice medicine in the city. Feeling the call of God to also aid in the spiritual healing of individuals, Daylon attended NOBTS, where he was able to complete a Master of Divinity with a specialization in Christian Apologetics. He is passionate about telling others about the love which is found in Jesus. This love can heal whatever ails a person. He has previously served as a Senior Pastor, Young Adult Pastor, Children’s Minister, Elder, and Deacon in the service of the Lord. He counts it a privilege and an honor to serve with his friends and brothers at Level Ground Community Church.


Xavier Raymond - Youth Pastor

Originally from Phenix City, Alabama, Xavier followed God's call to move to New Orleans, where he is currently studying at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Xavier is also the Youth Director at Trinity Christian Community and is passionate about empowering future leaders in the community. He has previously worked for Next Generation - a New Orleans based non profit which seeks to impact middle and high school students through character building education. Xavier brings a passion and energy to his ministry to the young men and women in Hollygrove and desires to see every one of them come to faith in Jesus. In 2015, Xavier married Sherronda, and together, the two seek to impact the city for Christ.
